School Family Support Program

What is the School Family Support Program?

The school family support program is a service that works in partnership with Catholic primary schools in the Bendigo and Wodonga areas.

The program works from a Child Centred and Family Focused Approach. School Family Support Workers help students and families find solutions to challenges they may be facing by helping children and families identify strategies for change and develop new skills.

What we do

Short term counselling and support for primary students using a holistic approach

  • Provide individual goal focused plans with students and families
  • Support for families, parents, teachers and school staff
  • Group work with students
  • Information and referrals to other agencies and services
  • Secondary consultations and training with teachers and school staff
